Barbara Kingsolver is one of my very favorite authors. Below is her website. I found the Frequently Asked Questions section amusing, insightful, and entertaining this evening!
Julia, I could write a novel or two (or three or four) about Barbara Kingsolver--and I've only read two novels and and a couple of essays! I have to extend my utmost sincerest most heartfelt appreciation for you, the responsible party behind my love affair with Kingsolver novels. I started with Poisonwood Bible (your suggestion) and agonized over whether to go with Animal Dreams or The Bean Trees for my second go-round.
I went with Animal Dreams and it was amazing. The way she wrote about the sisters' relationship, how Codi treasured her sister's letters touched me deeply.
By the way, I did visit the website ,and I love her FAQs. In fact, the FAQ got me all jazzed up to read Prodigal Summer. As soon as I post this, I plan to put a hold on it at the library.
